Born and raised just outside of Chicago, Jon Askonas is a junior at Georgetown University’s Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service, where he is studying International Politics and Social and Political Thought with a regional focus on the former Soviet Union.
Jon spent the past five months living and travelling in Russia. His work experience includes IT consulting, political campaigns, and the US State Department. After finishing his undergraduate career at Georgetown, he hopes to pursue a doctorate in International Relations.
When not saving the world, Jon speaks at debates of the Philodemic Society and represents his classmates on the academic council.
