Washington, DC – Young Americans for Diplomatic Leadership’s President and CEO, Carlos Reyes, has appointed three vice presidents to work with him in guiding the organization forward and to oversee its three functional areas. Their appointments are effective immediately.
Ms. Rebecca English of New York, New York, has been appointed Vice President for Operations. In this role, she will be responsible for YADL’s overall operations including finance and development.
Mr. Michael Karno of Chicago, Illinois, has been appointed Vice President for Programs. Mr. Karno will oversee YADL’s experiential learning opportunities and exchanges as well as direct the organization’s policy agenda.
Ms. Nida Nizam of Syracuse, New York, has been appointed Vice President for External Affairs. This position maintains YADL’s strategic partnerships and oversees communications and engagement efforts.
Reyes will work with the three vice presidents to hire a talented team of directors over the next few weeks. Together, the new YADL staff will move quickly to set a new strategic direction for the organization that builds upon its successful first year.
English, Karno, and Nizam were selected from a competitive applicant pool and after an interview process. “This is a great team with proven experience and enthusiasm,” Reyes said after appointing the three vice presidents. “I look forward to working with them and leading YADL into the future.”
