Alessandro completed his bachelor’s degree in economics and political science at the University of Florida. While he originally planned to go to law school, he decided to take a year off and teach English in Spain instead. It was one of the best decisions he has ever made and led to a series of international adventures. In all, Alessandro has lived, worked, and studied in five different countries. He obtained a master’s in economics from the Sorbonne in France and Fudan University in Shanghai, China. Since graduating, Alessandro has worked in a few academic research roles, as well as starting a nonprofit project in rural India and his own online business. He is fascinated by emerging markets, and hopes to one day work in policymaking in the U.S.
