Natasha Ardiani of Indonesia has been selected as the Director General of the World Trade Organization. She is currently finishing a Master of Public Policy degree in Economic Policy at the Australian National University’s Crawford School of Economics and Government. She graduated cum laude from her undergraduate study of international relations at Airlangga University in Indonesia.
Ms. Ardiani represents Indonesia in numerous international forums and conference, both as delegate and speaker and is also involved in numerous organizations. In 2009, she interned at the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs while doing her thesis in the lawmaking process of Indonesian migrant workers policy. In 2010, she worked as a project officer in a development project in Szczecin, Poland for three months. In the same year, she was appointed as the Head Delegate of Airlangga University for National Model United Nations New York 2010. She also attended Asia Pacific Week 2011 in Canberra, Australia to share and extend her knowledge on the region.
She is now an active writer and has been contributing to various national and international media namely the Jakarta Post and the East Asia Forum. As of now she is a fluent in English and has basic proficiency of French and Mandarin. Ms. Ardiani is eager to implement her knowledge of and passion for international trade, widen her network and engage with her fellow delegates.
